Limited Edition Nougat with honey from Abruzzo and walnut Lara
This limited edition is made with the rare honey of Sulla Abruzzese (Hedysarum coronarium). The word “coronarius” refers to the idea of a crown, referring to Sulla’s flower which forms a crown with the petals; the word “Sulla” refers to the Castilian word “zulla” used to indicate this
native plant of Spain.
The colour of Sulla’s honey ranges from white to straw yellow; it crystallizes a few months after harvesting to form a compact, pasty mass.
The smell is very faint, floral, slightly hay and the taste is sweet and slightly acidic.
The Abruzzo variety is rich in large quantities of trace elements and slightly bitter, matching perfectly in the limited edition with the walnut of the “Lara” variety harvested in Polesine.
This walnut has a fleshy kernel with a low percentage of fat, a sweet and fresh taste and a skin that does not bind the mouth.
The special limited edition is distinguished by a golden wrapping on which is affixed a progressive production number.
