Nougat Limited Edition with honey from Venetian sandbank and Apulian almonds
The production of this honey is typical of the municipalities overlooking the lagoon of Venice, where there is the sandbank that is the land that emerged close to and within the lagoon subject to the flow of the tides.
In these strips of land between Chioggia, Venice and Jesolo blooms at the end of June.
the Limonium vulgare species, a herbaceous plant, whose roots float in brackish water. The flower has a green-blue colour and the plant is
in the bush, piled up along the banks of the sandbanks.
The honey from sandbanks has a medium consistency, a dark yellow opaque colour and crystallises easily. It is rich in potassium and salts, which can reach 1% of the organoleptic composition.
Due to its proximity to brackish water, this honey is different from any other Italian honey, rich in iodine and slightly bitter.
To the honey of Limonium is mixed a variety of Apulian almond of large caliber, very rich in essential oil and roundish, which effectively counteracts the strong saline aroma.
The special limited edition is distinguished by a golden wrapping on which a progressive production number is affixed.
